March 2006 Our Gemini lift stood up to a category 5 cyclone. Cyclone Larry hit the North Queensland town of Innisfail March 2006. As you can see from the photos there is substantial damage to the house, the house next door lost its roof and trees were uprooted. The only damage to the lift was the colour bond panels were fatigued cracked at the pop rivets from flexing in and out from the force of the wind. The damaged house next door, has a weather station and it recorded wind speeds to 260klm / hr. The owners of the lift installed generator power that day, and the lift has been working ever since.
