This policy explains how Aussie Lifts Pty Ltd (“Aussie Lifts”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information through this website. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1.Enquiry forms
When you send an enquiry through a form on this website we collect the details you enter: your full name, email address, phone number, postal address or suburb and postcode, state, and your message.
With the enquiry we also record the page the form was on, the type of form, and the lift category or model that page is about, plus any advertising click identifiers and campaign (UTM) tags described in section 3.
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, to prepare quotes and proposals, and to follow up with you about it. When you submit a form, your enquiry is passed to our internal systems, including our email and customer relationship management (CRM) system, so that our team can respond.
You do not have to give us your details, but if you do not we may not be able to respond to your enquiry.
2.Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies and similar technologies, set by us and by the third party services below, to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising:
- Google Analytics 4 measures visits, pages viewed and how visitors use the site.
- Google Ads conversion tracking records when an enquiry follows a visit from one of our Google ads, so we can measure how well our advertising works.
- Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API tell Meta (Facebook and Instagram) when a visit or an enquiry follows one of our ads. When an enquiry is submitted, our server also sends Meta your IP address, browser user agent and the Meta cookies its pixel has set. We do not send your name, email address or phone number to Meta.
- Microsoft Clarityhelps us understand how visitors use the site, using session recordings, heatmaps and cookies. Form fields with personal details are masked, so what you type into them is not recorded. See Microsoft’s privacy statement.
These providers may process information outside Australia under their own privacy policies.
3.Campaign (UTM) tracking
When you arrive on the site from an ad or a tagged link, we store the advertising click identifiers and campaign (UTM) tags from that link in your browser’s local storage for 90 days. If you send us an enquiry in that time, they are sent with it so we know which campaign brought you to us.
4.How to opt out
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and clear local storage. Some parts of the site may not work as intended.
- Google Analytics: Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Google ads personalisation: Google ad settings.
- Meta ads: Meta ad preferences.
- Microsoft: Microsoft privacy dashboard.
5.Access, correction and deletion
You have the right to request (by e-mail) from us a copy of the information about you retained by us and the right to request that we correct any incorrect information, and that we do not disclose any personal information about you for the purpose of direct marketing.
We will destroy personal information upon your request (by e-mail) or if it is no longer required, unless it is required in order to fulfil our obligations to you or is required to be maintained and/or stored in accordance with the law.
6.Complaints and privacy requests
You can make a privacy request or complaint by contacting us via e-mail at enquiries@aussielifts.com.au. We will respond to a complaint within seven (7) days of receipt and will take all reasonable steps to make a decision as to the complaint within thirty (30) days of receipt. In the event that you are not satisfied with the resolution provided, you can make a complaint to the Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.
7.Customers
If you become a customer, how we handle credit and account information is also set out in clause 18 of our Terms & Conditions of Trade.
