A Commercial Lift Solution for One of Brisbane's Most Iconic Golf Clubs

When one of Brisbane's premier golf clubs needed to improve accessibility across its clubhouse, the solution had to deliver on compliance, durability and aesthetics without disrupting the venue's day-to-day operations. Manufactured locally at our Brisbane factory, the result is a custom Orion electrohydraulic lift installed within a free-standing aluminium shaft, ready for the builder to directly clad and integrate into the existing building envelope.

The Brief

The club and builder required a lift that could:

• Deliver DDA-compliant vertical access between two levels of the clubhouse

• Operate as a high-capacity commercial unit suitable for ongoing member and guest traffic

• Arrive on site as a complete, self-supporting structural system within a free-standing shaft

• Allow the builder to directly apply cladding to the shaft, matching the clubhouse exterior

• Provide through-car access with doors on both sides for flexible entry and exit at each level

The Challenge

• The lift needed to be installed externally as a free-standing structure, independent of the existing building frame

• The shaft had to be engineered to accept direct cladding application by the builder

• Through-car door configuration was required to suit pedestrian flow across both levels

• The installation needed to meet full commercial compliance standards while respecting the club's heritage and aesthetic

• Minimal disruption to club operations during the build was a key priority

The Solution

We designed and manufactured a custom Orion electrohydraulic lift at our Brisbane facility, built within a free-standing aluminium lift shaft engineered to integrate directly with the clubhouse.
