Project Overview

Phoenix lift at the clubhouse

Mt Coolum Golf Course, Sunshine Coast, Queensland

Mt Coolum Golf Course sits under the mountain on the Sunshine Coast, and the clubhouse took a Phoenix lift so guests get easy access around the venue. The photographs walk the job from the course itself through the white-framed frosted landing door and grey weatherboard shaft, into the shaft install and the cabin.

Outside: a frosted landing door under the deck, next to the fire hose cabinet and stairs. Inside the shaft: the hydraulic cylinder — still labelled Mount Coolum in handwriting on site — with the safety rail and framing open. In the cabin: white panels, blue LED edge lighting and a handrail, with cardboard and trim still on the floor while the install finished.

The Phoenix is built at our Brisbane factory — a Brisbane-built hydraulic lift when a club or venue needs local support.

If you are planning a lift for a golf club, clubhouse or similar venue, this is the kind of brief the Phoenix is built for.

The photographs here are from our Instagram post on this project. See the original on the @aussielifts Instagram.

The brief

A lift for Mt Coolum Golf Course so guests get easy access and convenience around the clubhouse — a venue job, finished to sit with the building rather than fight it.

What we installed

A Phoenix lift, manufactured at our Brisbane factory and installed at the Mt Coolum Golf Course clubhouse. The Phoenix is the Brisbane-built residential hydraulic model we make for Australian homes and venues when a custom, locally supported lift is the right fit.

In the photographs: the white-framed frosted landing door in a grey weatherboard shaft under the clubhouse deck, the shaft install with the hydraulic cylinder and safety rail, and the cabin with white panels, blue LED edge lighting and a handrail while cardboard and trim were still on the floor. The weather was against the crew on this one.

Key points

  • Model: Phoenix (residential range; venue install)
  • Application: golf club / clubhouse guest access
  • Location: Mt Coolum Golf Course, Sunshine Coast
  • Finish: grey weatherboard shaft, white-framed frosted landing door
  • Built: Aussie Lifts, Brisbane

Why a Phoenix here

Clubs and venues want a lift that is built for Australian conditions and backed locally when something needs chasing. The Phoenix is made in Brisbane, so parts and support stay close to home — and the cosmetic options let the shaft sit with the clubhouse rather than stand out.
