Platform lift at the Newnham Hotel, Wishart
The Newnham Hotel in Wishart, Brisbane needed step-free access between its main floor and its raised bar area, with a lift that wouldn't look out of place in the fit-out. The answer was a Discovery platform lift. Supplied, installed and serviced by Aussie Lifts.

The solution
Wishart, Brisbane, Queensland
The Discovery runs in a glass and steel enclosure beside the pub's Newnham Hotel mural, so it stays open to the room and guests can see straight through it. A chequer-plate floor and ramp give a firm step-on at the main floor, and a glass gate opens at each level.
The steelwork is finished in a custom RAL 7016 dark grey, so the lift sits with the dark walls and timber of the fit-out rather than standing out from them. Guests who can't manage the steps now reach the bar level without them.
